Art Therapy in a hematology/oncology/bone marrow transplant clinics for Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult patients: A pilot multi-site mixed methods observational study

Clinical Trial Details

The purpose of the study is to better understand if, how and to what extent art therapy may help patients receiving treatment for cancer or hematology illnesses. This is an observational study and does not involve any interventions.

Participants will still receive the regular standard of care for their illness. Parents/participants will complete brief surveys before and after each of the 4 Open Art Therapy Studio sessions. The artwork will be photographed, and the researcher will ask about what was made each time. The surveys should take no more than 10 minutes each time. Participants may then stay in the studio as long or as little as you like during studio hours.

Participation will be finished after you fill out the set of surveys at the fourth visit.
