Liver Cirrhosis Network Cohort Study

Clinical Trial Details

This is a study for women and men who are 18 years old and above and have been diagnosed with cirrhosis (scarring of the liver). This study is being conducted to identify things that contribute to keeping people healthy when they are living with liver cirrhosis.

Participants will be asked to answer questions about themselves as well as family history, the medicines they’re taking, diet, daily activities, and quality of life. The study team will take blood samples, obtain saliva samples, perform a physical examination, and take pictures of the liver using non-invasive imaging scans including an MRE (Magnetic resonance elastography). Participants will also be asked to participate in annual tests about strength and mental abilities.

Participation in this study will last approximately 3 years. Participants will be asked to come into the clinic every 6 months for a total of around 7 visits.

Participants will be compensated for their time.
