Next-Generation Sequencing to Evaluate Transcriptomic Changes Associated with H. pylori Infection and Gastric Cancer Carcinogenesis

Clinical Trial Details

This clinical trial is for non-gender specific adults ages 18-100 years old with H.pylori infection.

The purpose of this study is to learn how the H.pylori infection can lead to cancer as well as provide information on possible intervention treatments that can be administered prior to the development of advanced cancer.

A portion of the participant's endoscopic biopsies will be submitted for research evaluation. By agreeing to take part in this study, participants will have not more than 4 additional endoscopic tissue biopsies taken from these typical areas. The study team will also ask participants to store their blood sample and analyze for H.pylori infection status as well as a saliva sample.

Participants are expected to have a 1-time tissue collection to participate in this study.

Key Eligibility:
  1. Open to non-gender specific adults ages 18-100 years old
  2. Participants must have active or prior H. pylori infection, or have been treated for H.pylori infection in the past

Detailed eligibility reviewed when participant contacts the study team.
